John D. Rockefeller Jr. bought this internally flawless piece at the recommendation of his family jeweller for his first wife Abby. This was passed onto his second wife after Abby died. After his second wife died, it went to auction and was owned by numerous buyers and finally landed at Christie’s New York in April 2001 and sold for $3 million.

The Blue Belle Of Asia is the ‘most expensive Sapphire ever sold at an auction’ at a whopping price of $17million! This diamond and Blue Sapphire necklace were originally bought with the intention of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1937. However, for some reason, it did not end in the queen’s possession and is now owned by a Saudi collector.
