Only Pride Not Prejudice: TV Shows that made us see the rainbow!

Did you know, June is celebrated as Pride Month? It is celebrated to spread awareness about the LGBTQ community. You might think that this is a new thing, especially because it gained a lot of momentum after Section 377 was decriminalized. The first parade goes way back.

We all love indulging in TV shows every now and then. In this blog post, I have listed down some of my favourite characters from TV shows who made me fall in love with them much before all of this.

Carol from F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Ross was married to his college sweetheart Carol, who later turned out to be a lesbian. On the one hand, we couldn’t help but feel sorry for Ross but on the other hand, we couldn’t be happier ‘cause he ended up with his first love eventually. What was really beautiful was, each and every one of his friends also supported Carol while she embarked upon her new journey.

Frank from House Of Cards

The ruthless Frank Underwood rose to the position of The President of the United States of America in House Of Cards. He has portrayed his character beautifully and the way he rose up the ladder to achieve his ultimate goal was very impressive. He has had relationships with multiple male counterparts like Meechum, Tom, etc. He’s quite the dynamic personality who’s hard to forget.

Oberyn from Game Of Thrones

Oberyn Martell decided to fight for one from the House of Lannister despite seeking revenge from them from the moment he stepped foot on King’s Landing. Even though he did not need to do so, this definitely made us fall in love with him. Now you know who wasn’t particularly a fan of how the fight ended.

Peach from YOU

Remember Peach Salinger, Beck’s best friend from You. Peach is shown obsessed with Beck (just like Joe) because she is madly in love with her. Unfortunately, she didn’t even know it! Even though we hated Peach, don’t you think she always had Beck’s best interest in mind and would have been much better if Beck ended up with her?

Umang from Four More Shots Please!

Umang from Four More Shots Please is another character that won my heart at first look. She’s this badass trainer who is crazy about working out and helps people achieve their dream body. She falls in love with her celebrity crush and simply refuses to change herself and stand her ground even if that meant getting her heartbroken. You go, girl!
